Market Days

Our cafe is open to the public every market day at the Ruthin Farmers Mart serving delicious meals including All Day Breakfasts, Daily Specials, Sandwiches and Cakes.

Mobile Catering

Our mobile catering unit is available to cater for outdoor events, agricultural events, shows and farm-sales. We also provide indoor catering for parties, weddings, conferences, funerals and buffets for all occasions.

In addition to our regular market days, we are pleased to provide catering for a variety of events taking place at Ruthin Farmers Mart.

The Williams Family

Catering Since 1954

In 1950, Walter Williams (or "Wally" as he was known) launched a mobile catering unit at the old Llangwyfan TB hospital, near Ruthin. The late Emlyn Maddocks got to hear about him and invited him to the company’s then Denbigh site. Before long the unit was a fixture at the company’s sales, and was hired to cater at dispersal and machinery auctions for Bradburne Price, Jones Peckover and Farmers Mart. It still is. Today, The Strand Cafe and Strand Mobile Catering, are run by husband and wife team, Keith and Cora, along with their daughter, Rachel.
